You know you could be happy on a sunny day when everything’s going your way.
What happens when it starts to rain and you don’t have your umbrella?
You could be happy right now – do you know your happy triggers? You know, those things that make you feel good instantly and distract you from going to that unhappy place? We all know people who can take a small frustration and turn it into a gigantic event that will disrupt their whole day and anyone’s around them. You know the people who come in to work on Monday morning proclaiming “I hate Mondays” or “this day is going to be the day from hell”. Well if they feel that way, you can bet that they're going to have a pretty bad day. Do you let the little things totally derail your day? Do you know how to bring yourself back to that “happy place” when something unexpected occurs in your day? Once you understand that being happy is your number 1 priority, you have to purposely find ways to change your vibration so you could be happy instantly - even on that rainy day. Yes, that can be very challenging in this crazy beautiful world, so it’s a good idea to know what your happiness triggers are. When something aggravating happens in your day, what thoughts can you use to trigger a happy response and distract you from the annoying circumstance? For me it’s almost always music or animals. If I’m stuck in traffic and I feel myself starting to get upset, I picture a litter of puppies or my dog Luc chasing ducks down at the lake. If I can, I turn to good music which almost always lifts my mood.
This is the lake behind my house. This is one of my favorite happy triggers. All I have to do is sit out by the lake for just a few minutes and it improves my vibration immediately to a calm and happy state.
It’s impossible for me to be upset surrounded by such serenity and beauty – and it gets even better when my dog, Luc is there to share it with me.

What are your happy triggers? Your kids? A great big hug? Your garden? A great song? Laughter? Chocolate?
Everyone’s different – know which happy triggers to use so you could be happy in any circumstance.
