We women pride ourselves on being able to multi-task. I love men, but doesn’t it seem that they can only do one thing at a time? We can make dinner, help with homework, talk on the phone, and return e-mails at the same time; but just try to get your guy to focus on something else while he’s watching a football game – you may as well be invisible.
The single best solution for how to handle stress is to stop focusing on the cause of your stress. The way to do this is to do whatever you can to put your attention on more joyful uplifting things that will give you relief from your stressor. It's not possible to eliminate stress on any subject when your attention is focused upon it.
