Letting Go

by Lucy

I wish I knew how much better I'd feel by giving up being a control freak who always needed perfection. When I was raising my kids I can't tell you how many hours I spent nagging and complaining when things didn't go as I envisioned.

Today with my grandchildren I see things so much clearer. I enjoy every minute with them instead of being more concerned about their messy rooms, dirty hands or a few crumbs on the floor. They're happier and I can't tell you how much happier and freer I feel.

So Very True NEW
by: Rose

I was going to post the exact same advice!

I too was a "control freak" when I was younger and all it accomplished was to stress me out. I've since realized that whether I control things or not, life still goes on. So I've since learned to let things go and not go crazy about it. You know what? Everything works out the way it will anyway and you get to stay much calmer about it all.

My advice is: laugh at the "bad" situations... they're going to happen anyway, tomorrow is going to arrive regardless and a positive attitude puts a whole new light on the situation.
