How to Avoid
Internet Business Scams

Internet business scams are pretty common today. Having a successful internet business can be the key to financial freedom. But unfortunately too many people fall prey to internet business scams these days.

It’s so important to do your research and seek out only reputable online business partners.

Here are a few things to watch out for:

  1. Stay away from anything that promises that you can earn a large amount of money in a short amount of time without doing anything. You’d think this would be common sense, but there are some really good sales people out there who make this seem possible – it’s not. Stay Clear!

  2. Watch out for affiliate marketing scams where you pay to receive your very own website in exchange for selling an affiliate product. If hundreds or thousands of people all have the same identical website selling the same identical product, there’s virtually no chance of standing out and making decent money. The only ones making big money here are the ones selling you the website. Watch out for those who provide a free website to promote their products as well. Once again they give out the same website to thousands so I would not recommend this.

  3. Stay away from anyone who asks for any amount of money BEFORE they provide the details of the business opportunity. Any legitimate internet business opportunity will lay out the basics in advance. You should not have any surprises AFTER you pay for a product or service.

  4. Don’t fall for the sexy headlines that promise the world. Make sure there are detailed testimonials, proven results, and promises made up of more than just words. There are no magic formulas and there are no secret formulas.

  5. Your time is a valuable commodity so don’t sign up for anything that requires hours and hours of your time to make a few dollars. Have you seen those ads that promise you can make a lot of money just by answering some surveys? This may not be a scam, but you will have to spend so much time answering these surveys before you see one dime. This is below minimum wage income. I recommend you pass on these types of internet income promises.

  6. If someone is telling you that this once in a lifetime offer to make money online will expire at midnight tonight – well, you know that doesn’t make any sense. Any legitimate business opportunity won’t have an imminent expiration date.

  7. Listen to your gut. If anything sounds too good to be true or seems unethical or dishonest in any way – RUN! There are too many good upright internet business opportunities; you won’t last long if you don’t gain the trust of those you are trying to sell to.
