Don't rush into important decisions

I made some really dumb decisions in life and jumped into situations without thinking about the consequences. I'm now divorced with HUGE debts. If I had the last 20 years again, I would be a lot more sensible with money and try and pay off the mortgage while it was manageable rather than adding to it. And I wouldn't marry to prove everyone wrong! (They were right!)
