Change is Good - Embrace Change to Feel Happy and Alive



Change is good even though it doesn’t always feel that way. Sometimes we get scared when we step out of our comfort zone, but take that first step anyway. You can’t be happy until you make your peace with change.

When you embrace change you open yourself to real freedom; real living. Be open to new people, new experiences, and new ways of looking at things. Be open to new adventures. Do something to shake things up and feel alive.

Do you wake up and do the same thing every day – eat the same breakfast, take the same route to work, talk to the same people, do the same workout routine?

If you want to make a change, take baby steps and then build. If you want to start exercising, start walking to 2 songs instead of trying to run 5 miles.

If Tuesday is meatloaf night, shake things up and make lasagna.

The more you embrace change in your life, the less likely your world will be turned upside down when things do change, and mark my words, they will change. It is not possible to be truly happy if you struggle against change.

Start with small things like:

  • Try a new recipe
  • Wear something completely uncharacteristic
  • Take a different route home from work
  • Get a totally new haircut
  • Walk the dog in a different neighborhood
  • Start a conversation with a stranger
  • Listen to a different kind of music

Then step out of the box and go for the bigger things like:

Change is good, so step out of your rut and embrace it. Do anything that will bring more energy and passion into your life.
