A Few Thoughts

It's nothing you haven't heard before, and I heard them, too, but did I listen? Sort of. Pay attention!!!
They've been said before, but they really are worth repeating:
1. "If you haven't got your health, you don't have anything!"
I am a child of the Sixties... back then no one thought they'd live past 30 or 35. Well, guess what, I did! And now my past excesses have caught up with me.
Take care of your health and spiritual well-being. Women, being the nurturers that we naturally are, tend to put others first (I still do), but we won't be any good to our loved ones if we don't take care of ourselves. You are your most important asset!
2. "Pay yourself first!"
No matter how much you make, set aside 10% or more in an emergency fund. And an awesome pair of shoes is not an emergency! LOL! Do it no matter what, and eventually you will know what "freedom" really means.
3. "Save up for something you want, don't use credit."
Mounting credit cards and other debt can rob you of your future, so don't do it!
4. "Never, never, ever put a man before yourself."
5. "Be kind to everyone, [including yourself."]
